Our story
The story behind Bharat Rising Foundation, in the words of our Chairman.
Sometimes, the most meaningful journeys in life begin during our most difficult moments.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when my family was battling a critical situation, we received life-saving support from Sri Kollepara Ramesh Garu and Kellanova. At a time when we needed hope, strength, and someone to stand beside us, their support made a difference that my family and I will never forget.
That experience changed my perspective on life forever. I realized that kindness is not just about helping someone in need. It is about giving someone hope when they feel helpless, standing beside a family during a crisis, and reminding people that they are not alone in their struggles.
I made a promise to myself that if life gave me another opportunity to move forward, I would dedicate a part of my life to helping others, just as we had been helped.
“From that day onward, I committed 30% of my salary to social service activities.”
What began as a personal commitment gradually became a journey shared by many wonderful people. Several of my Kellanova colleagues and dear friends joined hands with me, proving that when one person takes a step towards kindness, many more hearts can follow.
That is how the dream of Bharat Rising Foundation grew: from gratitude, compassion, and a promise to give back to society.
Today, through our Foundation, we strive to support children through education, empower rural women and farmers, encourage organic farming, promote sports among young people, plant trees, and extend a helping hand to people who need support.
We may not be able to solve every problem in society, but I believe we can make a meaningful difference in someone's life, one act of kindness at a time.
Whenever I see a child smile, a young cricketer gain confidence, a farmer discover a new opportunity, or a family receive support during a difficult time, I am reminded of the people who once stood beside my family.
Sri Kollepara Ramesh Garu and Kellanova will always remain an important part of my journey because they helped me understand the true meaning of support, compassion, and community.
I am equally grateful to every colleague, friend, donor, volunteer, and well-wisher who has walked alongside me. Bharat Rising Foundation is not just my dream anymore; it is a collective effort built on the kindness and commitment of many hearts.
My dream is simple: to create a society where no person feels alone in difficult times, where every child gets a chance to dream, where every young person gets an opportunity to grow, and where helping others becomes a way of life.
This is my story.
This is my promise.
This is Bharat Rising Foundation.
Our Mentor’s

Some people inspire us through their words, some through their actions, and a few through their ability to bring people together for a greater purpose. Rongala Gopi Srinivas Garu is one such inspiring person and a key member of Bharat Rising Foundation.

Some people inspire us through their words, some through their achievements, but a few extraordinary people inspire us through their actions and the lives they touch. For me, Chelluboina Suryanarayana Murthy Garu is one such inspiring personality and one of the key members of Bharat Rising Foundation.

When the poor cannot afford justice, humanity must stand beside them. At Bharat Rising Foundation, we believe that no person should feel helpless simply because they are poor, and no family should have to suffer in silence because they cannot afford legal assistance.

A heart that cares. A vision that inspires. A mission that makes a difference. At Bharat Rising Foundation, we believe that even a small act of kindness can bring a big change in someone’s life. Today, we are proud to express our heartfelt gratitude to Gunturu Seethapallavi Garu, our Founder, for her valuable financial contributions and unwavering support towards our social service initiatives.

A mentor who inspires young minds. A visionary who empowers farmers. A heart that believes in giving back to society. Some people inspire us through their words, but a few extraordinary people inspire us through their knowledge, actions, and commitment to creating a better future. Krishna Chaitanya Garu is one such remarkable pillar of Bharat Rising Foundation.

Chairman
People often ask me, “Chaitanya, why are you so passionate about cricket? Why do you spend so much time and effort organizing cricket tournaments?” Today, I want to share the answer that comes straight from my heart.
Weekend farming
Why our Chairman spends his weekends on a farm, in his own words.
People often ask me, “Chaitanya, you have a full-time job, so why do you spend your weekends working on a farm? Why invest your time, energy, and money in agriculture when you could simply relax?”
This journey is not just about growing fruits and vegetables. It is about my health, my learning, my love for nature, and my dream of helping our farmers build a greener and healthier future.
I don’t come from a farming family. But my desire to live a healthier life introduced me to the beautiful world of farming. I wanted to eat healthy food, understand where our food comes from, and reconnect with nature. That simple thought gradually became a dream. With the support of my friends, I took 2.5 acres of agricultural land and began my weekend farming journey.
I may have started as a beginner, but the land became my teacher, nature became my guide, and every weekend became an opportunity to learn something new.

During my first year, I cultivated papaya using chemical fertilizers and pesticides. At that time, I was still learning about agriculture and the different ways of growing crops.
As I continued my journey, I began understanding the importance of soil health, biodiversity, natural farming practices, and the long-term relationship between farmers and the land they cultivate. I started questioning myself:
“If I began farming to grow healthy food, shouldn’t I also learn how to care for the soil that gives us that food?”
That question changed my direction. I decided to move away from chemical-based farming practices and explore natural and organic methods. I removed the papaya plants and redesigned my farm with a new vision.
Today, my farm has more than 30 varieties of fruit plants, and I have divided the land into different sections for vegetables, fruit cultivation, cows, and chickens. What began as a small personal experiment has become a continuous journey of learning, patience, and responsibility towards nature.
I am still learning, still experimenting, and still discovering how much wisdom nature holds. My farm is not just a piece of agricultural land. It is my classroom, my place of peace, and my commitment to a healthier way of living.
As I learned more about natural farming, I realized something important: the knowledge and opportunities I was receiving should not remain limited to my own land.
Our farmers work incredibly hard to feed society. Yet many face challenges related to farming costs, changing agricultural practices, technology, and access to practical knowledge.
I began feeling that if my small farming journey could teach me something useful, it might also help another farmer. That thought became the foundation of my efforts to encourage farmers in nearby villages.
Weekend farming
Through our farm and Bharat Rising Foundation, we share practical knowledge and encourage sustainable agricultural practices.

We plan weekend training sessions in nearby villages to share practical knowledge about natural farming, and to show how organic inputs can improve soil health and support sustainable agriculture.
Farmyard manure (FYM)
Well-decomposed dung and urine from cows, goats and poultry feed the soil and its microorganisms.
Vermicompost
Manure made with the help of earthworms. It improves fertility, root growth and microbial activity.
Compost
Kitchen waste, dry leaves and crop residue turned into compost that improves soil structure and holds moisture.
Our goal: help local farmers make vermicompost and sell it in nearby cities. Small farmers earn extra income, and larger farmers get quality organic manure. A win-win for everyone.
Wherever suitable, we encourage biopesticides and traditional natural practices as alternatives to synthetic chemical pesticides.
Neem extract
Natural compounds in neem can disrupt the feeding and growth of pests such as aphids, thrips and caterpillars.
Jeevamrut
Made from cow dung, cow urine, jaggery, pulse flour and a little soil. Used mainly to support soil life; its pest-repelling effect is not proven.
Dashparni Arka
A fermented mix of leaves such as neem, castor and calotropis, used by some natural farmers against chewing and sucking pests.
Agniastra / Brahmastra
Traditional mixes of cow urine, neem leaves, garlic and hot chillies. Results vary with the recipe, so use them with care.
Natural does not always mean safe. Tobacco-based mixes can be toxic, so prepare and handle every formulation carefully.
Empowering women farmers is essential for healthier families, stronger communities and a sustainable future. We distribute organic seeds and kitchen garden seed kits to women farmers, so they can grow their own vegetables and bring fresh, homegrown produce to their families.

Even a small kitchen garden can make a meaningful difference. A handful of seeds, nurtured with care, can grow into nutritious food, valuable knowledge and new opportunities.
Our vision is simple: empower women, nourish families, and grow a greener tomorrow.
Together, let us turn every seed into an opportunity and every kitchen garden into a symbol of self-reliance.

Protecting our soil is one of the most important steps towards protecting our farmers, our food and our future. We encourage farmers to explore Pre-Monsoon Dry Sowing (PMDS) and green manure as part of our work to promote natural farming and sustainable agriculture.
A natural farming approach where a diverse mixture of seeds is sown directly into dry soil before the monsoon begins. With suitable seed selection and good management, it can help establish plant cover and support a healthier soil ecosystem.
Suitable plants are grown and then worked into the soil to improve its organic matter and fertility. Instead of letting valuable plant biomass go to waste, farmers can use it to nourish the land.
Through awareness initiatives, seed promotion and knowledge-sharing, we encourage farmers to explore nature-friendly practices that suit their local soil, climate and crops.
“Farming is not just about growing a crop for the next harvest; it is about nurturing the land so that future generations can continue to grow and prosper.”
Empowering farmers with modern technology is an important step towards sustainable agriculture, better productivity and a brighter future for farming communities. We organize demonstrations and training sessions on agricultural drones, so farmers can see how this technology could work in their own fields.
Spraying fertilizers and crop protection
Drones can spray suitable fertilizers and approved crop protection products, covering fields efficiently when used correctly.
Monitoring crop health
Cameras and sensors help spot crop stress, uneven growth and areas that need a closer look.
Precision farming
Drone mapping shows variation across a field, so farmers can make better-informed decisions on crop management and inputs.
Irrigation and water stress
Aerial images can reveal uneven growth and possible irrigation problems that need a field check.
Pest and disease hotspots
Surveying large fields helps spot unusual crop patterns, so farmers can inspect affected areas and act in time.
Saving time and effort
For suitable operations, drones cover large areas faster and reduce the need to carry heavy spraying equipment.

Through practical demonstrations and awareness programs, we encourage farmers to learn about agricultural drone technology, understand its benefits and limitations, and explore how it can be adapted to their local farming needs.
“Combining farmers’ traditional knowledge with modern technology can help build a more productive, efficient and sustainable agricultural future.”

Planting a tree is not just an act of nature conservation; it is an investment in the future of our children and the generations to come. Every year, we organize planting programs in and around our city.
Fruit-bearing trees
Planted every year in and around our city.
Palmyra seeds
Sown to help increase the green cover.
Environmental awareness
Every program encourages people to protect nature and build a healthier environment.
The credit for these initiatives goes to our cricket friends, who always come forward to support the foundation. Beyond the cricket ground, they join hands to plant trees, sow seeds and make our nearby areas greener. Whenever someone needs blood, they also come forward to donate it and help save lives.
Let’s plant more trees. Let’s save more lives. Let’s build a better tomorrow.
Growing green. Saving lives. Serving society.
Every seed distributed, every farmer who learns something new, and every tree planted is a small step towards the future we want to create.
Weekend farming gives me an opportunity to slow down, connect with the earth, understand the value of food, and appreciate the hard work behind every meal on our plates. It has taught me:
Patience
Nature cannot be rushed.
Humility
No matter how much we know, there is always something more to learn.
Responsibility
The choices we make today can influence the soil, the environment, and the generations that follow.
Most importantly, it has taught me that we do not need to be born into a farming family to respect agriculture, support farmers, or contribute to a greener future. Sometimes, all it takes is a small beginning, a willingness to learn, and a heart that wants to make a difference.
Farming is not something we should remember only when food reaches our plates. Behind every grain, every fruit, and every vegetable lies the effort of a farmer and the generosity of nature.
Take an interest in agriculture. Grow a few vegetables at home. Plant a fruit tree. Visit a farm. Learn from a farmer. Explore modern agricultural technology. Understand the importance of healthy soil and responsible farming.
You don’t need 2.5 acres to begin. Even a small kitchen garden or one plant on your balcony can help you understand the joy of nurturing life. And if you have an opportunity to support farmers, please do so. Their progress is connected to our food security, our communities, and our future.
Let us respect the hands that feed us.
Let us protect the soil that sustains us.
Let us encourage the people who cultivate our future.
My dream is to see more young people take an interest in agriculture, more farmers explore sustainable practices, more women become empowered through farming, and more communities come together to protect our environment.
I started weekend farming for my health. I continued it for the love of nature. Today, I want this journey to become a source of knowledge, encouragement, and opportunity for our farmers and our community.
This is more than a hobby. It is a responsibility, a learning journey, and a small contribution towards the future I believe in.
My farm is where I grow food, but my dream is to grow awareness, empower farmers, nurture nature, and inspire change.
With love for nature and gratitude to our farmers,
Chaitanya Polavarapu
